Alternative Energy

First post.

Alright.

Just finished up our alternative energy unit today in Physics class. We've been covering all the regulars (wind, solar, etc.), plus a few irregulars (biomass, carbon sequestration, tidal). I talked with my physics teacher (known as Doc from here forward) about it. My current passion (notice I said current; my interests change roughly every two weeks) is mechanical engineering, but I've seen evidence that job growth for the next decade or so in the field is slowing. I talked with Doc and asked for his advice on any other fields and he said not to give up on such a huge field as mechanical engineering.
Given interests in alternative energy and mechanical engineering, I started working on designs for wind energy gathering mechanisms. I hope to try to build and test some of my designs in a week or two.

Wish me Luck.
